Salzburg!

Well, Dana and I had the great opportunity to go to Salzburg with her choir this past week. We had a terrific time. The choirs were participating in a Choir Festival. We left on an overnight flight on Wednesday evening and arrived in Munich on Thursday morning. We visited Dachau on our way to Salzburg. That was a sobering and eye-opening experience. As soon as we arrived in Salzburg, we were off to a cute little church for the kids to participate in an Opening Ceremony for the festival. They sounded terrific. There ended up being only one other choir at the festival, which was a little unexpected. But it is a brand new festival this year, so we just went along with it. Our kids had a fun time getting to know the German kids from the other choir. Rather than chronicling every moment, suffice it to say that we had a great time and the kids sounded awesome. One highlight of the trip was singing in the Cathedral in Salzburg. Amazing! We also had the chance to tour Munich a little bit as well. And everyone made it home in one piece, thank goodness.
